The Rincon Rooms are the creation of Justin Klentner and Amanda Masters, longtime Carpinteria locals who have spent the past two decades building a life there.

Our connection to Amanda goes back nearly as long. She and Nat have been friends for almost two decades, and when it came time to create our Natalie Martin Flagship on Melrose, Amanda brought her unmatched interior design expertise to the project, becoming a creative partner in bringing the space to life. She understands instinctively the way we like things to feel - collected rather than decorated, beautiful without being too perfect, and always, always comfortable.

At The Rincon Rooms, Amanda has brought that same thoughtful sensibility to the life she and Justin have built together in Carpinteria. So perhaps it isn’t surprising that from the moment we arrived, it felt immediately familiar. Like a place we already knew.

Together, Justin and Amanda have created something that feels completely rooted in Carpinteria. The culture of polo and horses - so woven into the identity of the town and the nearby fields, where afternoons stretch long beneath the coastal light - is part of its rhythm. So is the creative community, the beach, and the particular unhurried pace that makes Carpinteria feel worlds away despite being just up the coast.
